Marquetry

 

With my friend Jack Metcalfe I co-authored the book entitled ‘The Marquetry Course’.

 

Marquetry is a fascinating addition to my work and involves covering a surface with veneer patterns. Usually this is in different woods, although bone, ivory, mother of pearl and brass have been used. This art dates back to the 16th century and the city of Florence.
